Artist Statement

Creating art has always been a constant source of comfort and joy for me. As an introverted child, it felt natural to escape into creative inner spaces and rich imaginary worlds. Working in a fantasy style, I’ve been exploring themes of light and dark, life and death, joy and sadness. I’ve come to rely on this meditative practice as a way to work through life’s challenges and bring calm and clarity. Nature, books, dreams, experiences, music, spirituality… all can spark inspiration. It’s my hope that the images and symbology created can bring an emotional response, a connection, for another person. That the exchange of energy between the artist and viewer can create connections between us all.
