Mary Hildebrand

Mary has studied under many nationally recognized artists in her effort to improve her skill and knowledge of oil painting. Mary is a member of Illinois Art League, Peoria Art Guild, Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and Oil Painters of America. She currently sells her art at Exhibit A Fine Art Gallery in Peoria Heights, Smith Studio and Gallery in Geneseo, Creative Soul in Dunlap and Galesburg Civic Art Center in Galesburg

Artist statement

Every aspect of the painting process is a joy for me. My desire is to create art that excites and instills a feeling of awe to the viewer. I am an oil painter working in my studio in Metamora, Illinois. I love flowers so I paint them. A very close observation of nature reveals how miraculous our God is. Beauty is everywhere, this is what I want to capture when I paint.
