His passion came from the loss of his wife who always inspired and pushed him to be the best man he could. After such a tragic loss, Truth continued to stay in touch with his wife through his poetry. She is the ink in his pen, the drive that pushes him to participate in as many shows and slams as he can. Truth was a member of the Saint Louis Poetry Team that competed in 2010 at Rustbelt Poetry slam.
