Some artists have a special ability to raise the secrets nature holds and spin them into something that most couldn’t have visualized. Seeing beyond the surface is the key to transforming the mundane into works of art. Janet Bratcher of Moberly, Missouri resurrects dusty gourds, giving them a new life as sleek sculpture. CAC resident artist Tanya Bayer’s shaped and adorned wood panels provide a glimpse into a dream-world in which all creatures live in harmony.
