About the event: Irish Folk band Turas perform on stage, while throughout the event, costumed dancers from Flynn School of Irish Dance combine traditional Irish step dance with original choreography.

About the band: Turas is a traditional Irish band from central and northwestern Illinois that has brought music from the “auld sod” to audiences from Chicago to St. Louis and in between for over 10 years. Running the gamut from contemporary and traditional ballads and pub anthems to lively instrumentals, Turas invokes the spirit of the rich Irish music traditions, while conveying an energetic 21st century musical style. Members include: Mike Bergstrom: bouzouki, guitar, vocals; AnneMarie Brinton: vocals, guitar, percussion; Jeff Calhoun: vocals, banjo, mandolin, guitar; Lauri Gannon: whistle, bodhran, accordion, stomp board; Sarah Riskind: fiddle, vocals; Rose Fahey Wright: flute, whistle, percussion, vocals

About the school: Flynn School of Irish Dance is a West Peoria dance studio located in the heart of West Peoria, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich tradition of Irish dance. The studio is a home for dancers of all ages and abilities.
