Derel Monteith Trio

Derel leads the group through high-energy performances of an eclectic range of music, drawing mostly from his own compositions and the trio’s arrangements of classic rock songs. Derel graduated from the prestigious jazz program at the University of Miami and studied thereafter with the Grammy-winning composer Maria Schneider; that background and over 25 years of professional jazz piano experience combine to make him a highly creative and engaging artist that should not be missed. Joining Derel in the trio are Andy Crawford on bass and Jason Brannon on drums, both of whom help shape the overall sound and style of the group with their own significant musical voices.
