Art on the Offense – Preston Jackson Gallery
Artists resist those who erode democratic foundations by creating art as a weapon against totalitarianism, unfairness, censorship, and to preserve our liberties for which so many have fought and died. Art can take on many forms: a soothing balm of hope, a subtle persuasion to those on the fence or a lightning bolt illuminating falsehood.
Ana V. Fleming and Liz Johnson – Gallery 3R
The paintings of Ana V. Fleming and the sculptures of Liz Johnson rhyme in vision and traditional technique, while imagining futuristic scenarios in which plant forms assimilate our present world. Both artists have ties to Bradley University. Fleming serves as Director of Community Engagement and art instructor at Galesburg Community Arts Center and Johnson is a Digital Marketing Specialist for OSF HealthCare and an affiliate instructor at Bradley University.
