Beginning Drawing

Beginning Drawing is designed for adults and teens who want to learn drawing in a relaxed and supportive studio environment. Students build foundational skills through classical observational techniques, progressing from basic line work to full compositions. Drawing skills are transferable to painting, design, or digital art.
About the instructor: Ke’Shawn Hess is an emerging artist studying techniques in painting, sculpting, and drawing, influenced by local instructors Anita Tuccillo and Preston Jackson. He has shown in multiple galleries in the Peoria area. Hess has taught as a substitute teacher and coach at Peoria 150 schools for 5 years.
Most supplies are provided. Students are asked to bring paper towels and purchase Faber-Castell Graphite sketch set for $14.49 from Michael’s.
Class location: Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, 305 SW Water St., Peoria, IL 61602 in the 3rd floor classroom. Press 3R in the elevator.
All students must register first. Once we have the minimum students, we will seek payment. If there is an obstacle to registering electronically, register over the phone 309-674-6822 or in person during an event or business hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11-5:00.
