Alice Y Traore: Of Roots and Wings

An exploration of grounding and aspiration is depicted in this body of work by Alice Y Traore. Religion, gender, race–the learning and unlearning of identity are themes that flow through these watercolor paintings and emerge to tell this artist’s tale. Alice will speak about her work at the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Wednesday, June 19th 6:30-8:30pm.

Art exhibits may also be viewed for no admission during regular business hours Tuesday-Saturday 11-5:00 and during some evening events with admission.
