Tatsuya Nakatani teamed up with bass clarinetist Yea Big (Stefen Robinson), Jon Byler Dann on double bass to perform and record an album. They first performed together at CAC as the opening act for Nakatani Gong Orchestra in 2023. Nakatani’s percussion propels, replicates, and spreads out like a virus, his sounds infecting everything and everyone. Robinson’s bass clarinet catches the fever, heating up the improvisational compositions only held together by Jon Byler Dann’s double bass providing connective structure.
