1st Friday Studio Tour

Visit the Contemporary Art Center Resident Artist Studios where artists create, display, and sell their work. Enjoy the unique & creative talents of local artists. While here, enjoy art exhibits in 3 galleries. The public is invited to this open house style events.

On the 3rd floor, visit the studios of resident artists of Tanya Bayer, William Butler, Pamela Connell, Elizabeth Davis, Julie K.W. Harkless, Larry Hendricks, Bennett Johnson, Darlene Jones, Richard Kirchgessner, Joe Kotas, Donald Mason, Kagan Masters, Ilva McBrayer, Joy Johannes Miller, Erica Pamson and Adrianne Risby. In the Side View Gallery on the 2nd floor, see the work of Preston Jackson and Natalie Jackson.

Listening Party
As a part of Contemporary Art Center’s 1st Friday June, the public is invited to hear Mickeisha Armstrong’s debut recording, starting at 8:00pm in the Preston Jackson Gallery on the 2nd floor. Be the first to hear her uplifting Christian single with powerful lyrics set to beautiful melodies. Mickeisha will share about the song and what went into the recording process. Afterwards, enjoy cake and conversation. For many years, this gifted singer has been a worship leader at Northwoods Community Church and lead singer for ZAFunk!, a band that has performed at Live at the Five Spot, Contemporary Art Center’s concert series.
