Intermediate Hip Hop Dance Class
Time: 7:15 – 8:10 pm
Instructor: Levi Thomas and Anthony Turner
Registration deadline: Jan 27
Take the next step to becoming a great dancer, learning complex moves in five sessions. This class is fun but fast paced, expecting students to pick up moves quickly so that a lot is accomplished in a short time.
Prerequisite: Completion of entire Adult Hip Hop Groove Class or with instructor’s permission.
Each session focuses on a particular dance piece, so missing a class is not detrimental. However, students must sign up for the entire 5 weeks to participate. Class fees are $45 for members of the Contemporary Art Center and $60 for nonmembers. Registration deadline is Saturday, August 20 by midnight. A minimum of 6 students is required to offer a class.
The classes are held on the 2nd floor of the facility in the Preston Jackson Gallery. Students should wear whatever will enable their best performance, whether loose or tight. Tennis shoes or any comfortable dance shoes are fine, but sandals are not allowed.
For more information about each class, contact: William Butler or Darlene Jones, 309.674.6822 or contact us. When we reach the minimum students, we will seek payment.
