I've been working very intuitively lately. One thing leads me to the next and it feels great to be on that wavelength. The key for me is to remember that no matter what, I am still an apprentice to the Great Creator.
My body of work is very diverse in terms of style, scale and medium. Since 2006 I have focused primarily on sculpture, however I still work in 2-D. I was born in Peoria, Illinois and earned my BFA at Bradley University. Over the years I have been very blessed with several awards for both my 2-D and 3-D work. One of the biggest thrills was showing at Lakeview Museum with the Another Picasso exhibit.
In March '09, my solo exhibit titled Still Finding Myself was held at Prairie Center for the Arts. This show was entirely steel sculpture. Nearly every piece involved salvaged and re-manipulated materials. The show was a great success.
Nationally acclaimed Luthy Botanical Gardens recently honored me with the adoption of their Rose Garden as my personal sculpture complex. Some of the pieces from the last show have been installed there for public viewing. More sculptures are on the way.
In addition to Luthy, the Peoria Park District made it possible for me to install a large scale public sculpture that postures at the entrance of Riverplex on Peoria's Riverfront.
My work is available for purchase and I am accepting commissions on a first come - first served basis.
