When I was young, I spent a lot of time playing in my Dad’s darkroom with my brother with the lights off. The glow-in-the-dark tape would shine like stars and we would hide in the drafting table my Dad built for himself. I still have that drafting table. 30 years ago, my Dad gave me a 60’s Nikon Ftn film camera and told me to go out and take pictures. He gave me very basic instruction and taught me how to roll my own canisters of Kodak black and white and Fuji Velvia. 30 years later, with digital it has become a passion and hopefully soon, a vocation. I have a certificate from the New York Institute of Photography and have been a winner of the inaugural Art Pop billboard contest here and in Art and Society magazine.
